Brian Boyl
Brian brings his diverse background in UI/UX design, experience design, software development, and visual storytelling to each project. He is a leading authority on UI/UX design, and author of the internationally acclaimed book Interaction for Designers: How to Make Things People Love published by Routledge Publishing.
Brian has worked as a user-interface designer for 3D animation systems, an information architect the US State Department, a web designer and developer, a game producer for Nintendo, and software developer for the exploratory system that would become the Sony PSX. He has worked with Toyota, Microsoft, Google, HP, HTC, Silicon Graphics, Price-Waterhouse, Philips, and Cedars-Sinai Hospital.
He has taught for over 30 years at UCLA, USC, Loyola Marymount, and at ArtCenter College of Design, where he founded the Visual Interaction Design and Motion Design areas. He is currently a professor and the Director of the Visual Interaction Design Area of Emphasis at ArtCenter.
